Municipal Council

• Supervising and following up the phenomena negatively affecting the area interests; participating in the development and upgrade processes witnessed by the Emirate of Sharjah; paying attention to the daily issues of interest to U.A.E. citizens; spreading the useful and awareness-raising cultures related to behaviors, consumers, and sanitation into the community, improving the public behavior, and teaching the children saving values.

• Studying the suggestions, contemplating and giving opinions on the questions and subjects relating to the Municipality affairs submitted to the Municipal Council by the Governor, the Executive Council, or the other governmental institutions.

• Discussing and deciding upon the complaints and proposals regarding the Municipality affairs. The Council is entitled to ask forthe relative required data from the competent authorities.

• Suggesting the names of the new suburbs, quarters, roads, and squares in coordination with the competent authorities.
